New YouTube Channel 2.0 Design goes live

As many of you may be aware YouTube were quietly testing out the beta version of their channel re-design (first via a secret opt-in URL that many of you discovered, then as a visible opt-in link) for a while now. As I logged in today to create a new university YouTube page, I was immediately greated by the new Channel 2.0 design. It takes a bit getting used to especially to those of us who are power-users of the old design, but the new design is much more neater and sleeker and the learning curve in my case was a matter of minutes.

So I walk in to work this morning, and am told that the last couple of News stories that we posted haven’t been auto-tweeted on Twitter.

UK’s 8 best Viral videos

Of 27 shortlisted entries, UK agencies received 8 shortlists in the viral marketing categories at the Cannes Cyber Lions 2009. Needless to say the judges at Cannes went down the traditional advertising route and completely overlooked viral emails, gifs, games e.t.c shortlisting only viral videos.

A brilliant Twitter viral campaign to fix Outlook 2010

As many of you have noticed in the trendic topics today Outlook 2010 is the number one trended topic. It begs to question why so many people would get excited about a beta version of a Microsoft office application. Yes geeks like me have had a hissy fit about the functionality of Oulook 2010’s rendering engine, but surely that cant make it a trending topic or can it?

Highly annoying : New Outlook 2010 continues to use Microsoft Word rendering engine

Just when you think the powers above cannot make our lives harder they kick you right in the balls and today that came in the form of Microsoft announcing that Outlook 2010 intends to continue to use the antediluvian Microsoft Word rendering engine that it uses in Outlook 2007.
