About

Me making bitter sweet music
I can usually write about anything but when it comes to writing about me, I tend to get the dreaded writer’s block. So here is my feeble attempt at describing me and my digitocrat blog. This page will be updated as and when i feel I could probably have written about myself better.
The name is Niro Nirmalan. Built my first website in 1999, making 2009 a decade since my love affair with the web began. Over the years, I have worked with various technologies, some that have changed the world and many that have disappeared without nothing more than a whimper. I have watched the web grow from static ugly websites to the amazing Social media realm that we all now literally live in.
My day job is in digital marketing and web development for a London University, meaning that I spend most if not all my time logged in to the matrix. When you live on the net like I do, you need an e-home which you can call your own and for me that e-home is my blog Digotocrat. It is a place where I can be cool and geeky at the same time blogging about everything from digital marketing, social media, web development and anything else technologically that I find interesting. I will also be sharing my views and experience of working in the Higher Education sector.
I also have a personal blog at www.niroism.com, where I post random stuff from poetry to film reviews.
If you would like to get in touch, email me on niro@digitocrat.com. Feel free to leave comments on my posts.
